At the end of 2019, the Cambria Community Council completed its most successful fundraising and grant distribution campaign. By April the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted every nonprofit’s plans for 2020 and 2021. Almost all nonprofit fundraisers have been canceled. Many of the November 2019 grantees were never able to use their grant funds.
The nonprofits that provide health and food assistance to the community were deluged with requests for assistance from the community. We conducted a second fundraiser, ”Neighbors Feeding Neighbors”, with the Lions and Rotary Clubs. Our generous neighbors provided the funds and support to make this drive very successful. We were able to provide the extra funds required by these nonprofits so they could maintain their commitment to the community. We have some funds from the fundraiser designated to these nonprofits for future needs.
Again, our thanks to all of you for being a part of this great community and supporting the work we have been doing since 1947. We feel honored by your continued generosity and will continue to be stewards of the trust you have placed in us.
Please stay safe and healthy.
